Our Greenhouse in the Spring

Lots of blooms ready to be planted!

At The Garden Barn you will find our 13,000 square-foot greenhouse overflowing with flowers and color. Our displays of different plants change with the seasons. In March we begin selling pansies and Easter flowers, and with Mother’s Day arrives our herbs, vegetables, and spring annuals. We line the greenhouse roof with hanging baskets and its many tables with seasonal plant arrangements. Annuals are great plants to fill spaces and add color to your garden from early spring to late fall.

As the days get longer and the temperatures get warmer, our summer annuals begin to arrive. Summer annuals are great for instant color and visual impact. They have had time to grow in our greenhouses, which makes it look like they have been growing in your garden all season long. Before summer parties and cookouts, make sure to instantly brighten up your home with a trip to The Garden Barn.

You can earn a great deal of satisfaction by growing your own edible garden. Even if you don’t have enough space outdoors, many herbs and veggies can be grown inside year-round. We also carry pineapple, coconut, and citrus plants in the spring to add some variety to your growing experience.

By the time summer rolls around, we have well-established annuals for sale. They’re allowed to mature in our growing facility so when you plant them, they seem like they’ve been in your yard all year. You can instantly brighten your home before summer parties with just a quick trip to The Garden Barn.

While the cold weather can have adverse effects on some plants, the fall season provides ideal growing conditions for other annuals like mums and asters. We carry pumpkins, straw bales, and cornstalks in the fall to add some seasonal appeal to your home.

As it becomes too cold outside for many plants, we carry indoor, holiday plants like poinsettias and Christmas cactus. These make excellent, live additions to your holiday decorating while everything outside appears sullen.

Regardless of the time of year, we always have tables full of houseplants, cactus, and succulents. They’re displayed in a range of sizes from two-inch pots to two-gallon containers and then some. Houseplants and succulents are great for adding color to your home and can help improve overall air quality.

Throughout the year our staff offers custom potting services. Whether you want your houseplant put in a ceramic pot, or would like us to make a custom annual arrangement, we will personalize your order to perfection. For more information on our potting services, click here.

No matter what season it is, a walk through our greenhouse is always refreshing.
